A Modern Return to the Pure Gospel of Giving

The Lord’s Fund exists to restore what the early Saints—and all true disciples of Jesus Christ—once understood: that faith without charity is dead, and that the Lord’s people cannot walk past the hungry, the sick, the fatherless, and the afflicted and still claim His name.

The Lord condemns churches that turn away the poor and needy, cloaking selfishness by preaching “self-reliance” while they hoard His tithes, enrich themselves, invest in Babylon, and treat the poor as an inconvenience instead of the Lord’s precious sons and daughters.

We choose instead to live the Lord’s own law—to lift the poor, relieve the oppressed, and heal the wounded in His name.

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” — James 1:27

“Visit the poor and the needy…” — D&C 44:6

“Are we not all beggars?” — Mosiah 4:19

“If ye turn away the needy, your prayer is vain.” — Alma 34:28

“The Lord enters into judgment against the elders and leaders of his people: It is you who have ruined my vineyard; the plunder from the poor is in your houses. What do you mean by crushing my people and grinding the faces of the poor?” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.” — Isaiah 3:14–15

100% Transparency. 100% Devotion to the Lord’s Way.

We Will NEVER:

  • Love money, fine clothing, and lavish buildings more than the poor and the needy.
  • Prioritize buildings over caring for the hungry, the sick, and the afflicted.
  • Treat the Lord’s sacred funds as corporate assets.
  • Take executive salaries or enrich ourselves from the tithes of the saints.
  • Register as a 501(c) corporation or bow to Babylon’s financial systems.
  • Place policies, committees, or board members above revelation and the Holy Ghost.
  • Glorify and idolize men.

We WILL:

  • Give at least 95% of every offering directly to the poor, the needy, and the afflicted.
  • Give 0% to corporations, NGOs, intermediaries, governments, or investment schemes.
  • Provide transparent reports of giving — names private, outcomes public.
  • Build Zion by lifting souls — following the Lord’s pattern: people first, buildings last.
  • Build only what the Lord commands—modest, functional, and always secondary to the poor—preparing a people who follow direct revelation from God rather than the corporate policies of men.

Never buildings before people. Never policies before revelation. Never Babylon before the Lord. Always the poor. Always Zion. Always Jesus Christ.

Because the Churches Have Forgotten the Poor

Many modern churches have become rich while the poor remain destitute. Leaders preach self-reliance as a substitute for mercy, as though the Lord’s treasury were theirs to guard, rather than His gift to distribute. They store up wealth in barns and investments while the widow’s cupboards remain empty. This is the religion Isaiah condemned, the hypocrisy Amos warned of, and the apostasy Jesus Himself rebuked—when He exposed leaders who piled up rules, loved status and fine buildings, but ignored judgment, mercy, and faith. He condemned them for devouring widows’ houses while pretending to be holy.

The Lord has always measured His people not by their buildings, budgets, or branding — but by how they treat the least among them.

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.” — 1 Corinthians 13:1

“Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people…” — Isaiah 10:1–2

“They rob the poor because of their fine sanctuaries.” — 2 Nephi 28:13

“Let us be of one heart and one mind — and there will be no poor among us.” — Moses 7:18
